Spending time with my family August 2016

By the end of the season we take our own family for a family holiday. I spend most weekends at the surf school so its time to wind down, relax and spend some time with my own family. The boys have recently had a cousin born in Queensland so we thought it would be great timing to visit the sunshine coast and meet my new niece.
We spent the first week on the Gold coast visiting the theme parks, Wet and wild was the favourite the boys wore their wetsuits and loved all the scary rides! Jasper is now 6 and Xavier 8, we struck it lucky for a week with light winds, and warm days with a perfect right hand slow peeling wave at the Noosa spit. Both boys loved collecting shells and drift wood on the beaches, climbing rocks and surfing all day long on perfect peeling waves. Xavier is learning to create speed and build his paddling fitness so lots of complaining about sore arms and ‘Dad Im hungry’ :)
I loved discovering new surfing beaches like Coolum, Alexandra Heads and Moffits beach we had magnificent weather and although the waves were small they were perfect for the boys. We love creating those special memories together, we are so lucky to enjoy the beach as a family and have the surfing lifestyle, its why we are so passionate about encouraging families to learn to surf.  Don’t worry we also experience the meltdowns, the squabbling and the temper tantrums like normal families, but its all worth it!
