A ridge of high pressure to the south of the state with a deepening surface
trough off the coast.
Forecasts:
Wednesday until midnight: NE winds 13/18 knots tending NW/SW 10/15 knots in the
afternoon and S/SE 10/15 knots in the evening. Seas to 1.0m. Swell to 1.5m.
Swell at Cottesloe: to 0.3m.
Winds on Melville Water: NE winds 15/20 knots easing to N’ly 10/15 knots late
morning. Winds shifting W/SW 10/15 knots in the afternoon and S’ly 8/13 knots in
the evening.
Thursday: SE winds 18/23 knots. Seas 1.5m to 2.0m. Swell to 1.5m.
Friday: E/SE winds 13/18 knots tending S’ly 20/30 knots in the afternoon.
Current Swell Observations:
Rottnest Waverider Buoy: 0.5m.
Cottesloe Waverider Buoy: 0.3m.

Synoptic Situation
A high pressure system to the southwest of the state, and a surface trough lies
inland.
Forecasts:
Monday until midnight: S/SE winds 20/25 knots easing to 15/20 knots for a period
during the morning. Winds strengthening S/SW 20/30 knots during the afternoon,
and becoming E/SE 20/25 knots during the evening. Seas 2.0m to 2.5m. Swell to
2.0m, increasing to 3.5m in the afternoon.
Swell at Cottesloe: 0.7m rising to 1.2m.
Winds on Melville Water: Similar, but up to 5 knots lighter at times.
Tuesday: E/SE winds 15/20 knots tending S/SE 10/15 knots inshore for a period in
the afternoon. Seas 1.0m to 1.5m. Swell to 3.5m.
Wednesday: E’ly winds 15/20 knots easing to E/SE 15/20 knots in the afternoon.

Lunchbreak – Winner ‘Best Short Film’ New York Surf Film Festival
‘Lunchbreak’ is a short surfing film that combines high performance surfing action with a cheeky twist on a North Shore legend.
A group of male surfers are out surfing when the local ‘Gang’ comes and calls ‘lunch break’ kicking them out of the water. The ‘Gang’s’ session doesn’t last long though, a group of groms are hot on their tales, determined to teach them a lesson.
